Topic: Piracy

My research question is How does media piracy affect people in general as a society. I personally think this is a good research question because piracy has been going on for ages. This research question is a good one because if you need to find something on the internet about it or even in book you would be able to find it with out a problem. Even though some people have their opinion about whether or not piracy is good or bad there are still facts out there that wouldn't be debatable. So far media piracy affects society in several ways. The people who commits this act normally gets fine and in some cases may get taken away and sentenced to serve time. Other people like music producers and movie directors has been loosing money ever since piracy began. I would like to research more about which directors and producers has been affected the most by piracy. This interests me because I know that that the individuals making the music and movies and big money makers. Knowing exactly how bad piracy is affecting them would be nice to know. Maybe piracy isn't that much of an affect but maybe it is. This is something I have to know more about.
